Samsung Galaxy S5 sepertinya berpotensi sukses dipasaran. Bahkan dilaporkan, jumlah pemesanan Galaxy S5 sudah mampu melebihi pendahulunya, Galaxy S4. pemesanan awal Galaxy S5 lebih tinggi sampai 130% dibandingkan pemesanan awal Galaxy S4 di tahun 2013.
Samsung Galaxy S5 mengusung layar seluas 5.1 inch dengan lapisan Super Amoled dan resolusi ketajaman sekelas Full HD atau 1920x1080p. diperkuat dengan prosesor Quad Core Krait 2.5 GHz dan RAM 2 GB.
Dari sisi kameranya terdapat resolusi 16 megapixel di bagian belakang dan bagian depannya 2 megapixel. Di kamera ini mempunyai kemampuan super autofocus dan selektif fokus. baterai 2800 MAh, dengan tambahan fitur ultra saving mode untuk menghemat daya tahan hidup. Fitur lainnya adalah, kemampuannya yang tahan air dan debu karena sudah dilapisi sertifikat IP67.
Untuk harga, menurut laporan The Inquirer, Ritel lokal di inggris telah mulai membuka pesanan untuk Galaxy S5 16 GB dengan harga 600 poundsterling atau sekitar Rp 8,4 juta. Adapun Galaxy S5 dijadwalkan mulai memasuki pasar di 150 negara pada 11 April mendatang.
